If you’re a Birmingham local, then you may have noticed that there is some construction work taking place at the New Alexandra Theatre – and that Gorilla Scaffolding is offering a hand.
The New Alexandra Theatre is having a £650k refurbishment and a rename to pay homage to their 117-year history. In Autumn, they will be relaunching with their original name, The Alexandra, with a brand new logo being revealed very soon.
The theatre currently holds 1,371 and plays host touring dramas, West End shows and stand-up comedy.
The refurbishment works will see a complete makeover to the historic Grand Circle, with all seats and carpets being replaces, improvements to the bar in the Old Foyer in both decoration and speed of service, a revamp of all dressing rooms back of house to improve the experience of visiting productions, window improvements and even intricate maintenance to the venue’s famous glass chandelier.
The premises are open as usual, and we are delighted to be part of the team by providing our services, and some safe and secure scaffolding, over the next couple of months.
